THE PERSONALITY OF THE TERROIR

The altitude, the temperature range and the dry climate of the province of Mendoza provide a special maturity to the humidity that luxuriates in a useful aroma and determines our new wines, contributing to the desarrollo of large añadas.

In the case of Mendoza, Argentina, the terroir provides a crucial role in the production of high-end wines, especially the variety of Malbec, emblematic of the region.

The Magic of Alto Agrelo

The Mendoza sandstone has the particularity of generating fertile energy, powered by the soil and the pure water that springs from the Andes.
The altitude, temperature range and climate conditions are of a particular nature, located at 1050 MSNM
that the wine has a sabor and aroma useful and potent and allows it to produce great cosechas.
The election of this property is the result of a careful investigation
that I encountered the ideal terroir in the Alto Agrelo area, one of the best AOCs in the country.

Floor

THE VALUE OF INFLUENCE

The finca is located at about 1050 meters of altitude, in an excellent area for the development of high quality vines as well as olives and fruits. The snows of the camp are from alluvial and deep origins. Texture franco – arenosa con algo de arcilla y limo. Present a can of gravel in surface area that increases its proportion in the subsuelo, where it provides excellent drainage. The type of oil is crucial for the terroir.

Climate

SPECIFIC MICROCLIMATE

The climate is of continental type with precipitation up to 200 mm. of average for a year, which practically allows an organic viticulture. Climatic conditions, including temperature, humidity, soil exposure and seasonal variation, significantly affect plant failure. Specific microclimates can generate unique heat profiles.

Topography

ALTITUDE AND HOUR 1050

The altitude, slope and orientation of the land are also important factors. The exposure to the ground varies depending on the topography, which can influence the maturity of the uvas or the quality of other crops such as olives. It is a characteristic data that the vitinivicola project maintains the original topography of the hill, preserving the natural west-east slope of 3.2%. Los rios pre-existentes son nuestros caminos.
